You're invited! Join us in Celebrating International Dot Day in Boston
September 15, 2012, starting at 11:00 am outside the Boston Children's Museum
This year the global kickoff for International Dot Day will be in Boston - and what better place but at Fort Point Channel, which houses both the Innovation District and one of the largest, oldest artist communities in the nation?
On September 15th, families, educators, and the community at large will come together to participate in an array of activities celebrating the themes of Peter H. Reynolds' The Dot. Dot Day partner organizations include FableVision, The Boston Children's Museum, The Boston Tea Party Museum, The Fort Point Channel Arts Community, FableVision Learning, The Blue Bunny Bookstore, Candlewick Press, the Friends of Fort Point Channel, the Mayor's Office, and Boston Public Schools.
The festivities will start at 11:00 am, right outside the Boston Children's Museum. Peter H. Reynolds and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino will read The Dot, and each of our Dot Day partners will host activities throughout the day that allow kids and grown-up kids to "make their mark." A resource guide and a special Dot Day button will be available for all those who attend. Local artists will “dot” the area as well.
Stay tuned for more information. Everyone is invited to join in the fun, so please feel free to spread the word! |
